Wow, such harsh words. Well, I guess one of the talented members of the community might want to take this on, or perhaps the original author. In the mean time, I just might have to remove the plugin, it's just to much trouble for its worth! I get about 10-20 spam entries a day. It's tiresome ...

Guestbook Spam

I notice that I'm starting to get a lot of spam now to my Guest Book plugin. Is there a way to put a spam blocker on it? Maybe you add using captchas to help?.

Using the Spam Protector stop most (if not all) of the trackback comments. I still get a notification in my email, but at least they don't make it to my entries.

I did notice that I'm starting to get alot of spam now to my Guest Book plugin. Perhaps using captchas is in order.

I saw your quoted "green dogs are fun to type about in fake blogs" in IE. But this is what I get when I search for it. The search function did not work as expected. Notice for the administrator of this blog: This may happen because of missing index keys in your database. On MySQL systems y...

I too am getting a lot of trackbacks from pharmaceuticline.com. Is there a way perhaps to block the domain? It seems they change author so you can't block by that.

I looked at your site with IE. No problem. I didn't have to scroll horizontally. I tried at both 1280x1024 and 1024x768 resolution. I also reduced the window to about three inches across and while it did make for some interesting entry area, it still didn't scroll. I did notice an error on your page...

In my wanderings, I stumbled upon the style.css file that controls most of the look and feel of your blog site. If you are using a theme it may be found there or if not, then the default style.css is being used. You will find a section that controls this very feature that you speak of. #serendipity_...

If you double click the error message and display Show Options then you can see the offending error.

How to fix it is question someone else will have to answer.

I was more interested in how you were going to get the dump of your existing database from the serendipity install that you did using their control panel. This will be needed to export into your "new" (1 of 10) database. With PHPMyAdmin I was not able to connect to the database that the co...

I too use GoDaddy. I found it impossible to use PHPMyAdmin with the database since it wasn't "my" database (one of the 10) but one of theirs that they give access to. I originally installed Serendipity through the control panel. How were you able to connect using PHPMyAdmin?

I finally upgraded to the 1.32 plugin, but I'm now getting an error. Warning: Missing argument 4 for serendipity_sendmail() in /home/content/html/serendipity/include/functions.inc.php on line 254 Is this what you are talking about where I will need an upgraded core file? Where do I get this file? Fr...

Maybe I can enlighten you. There are times when you want to present information that will be of certain topic or subject. This is information that is not date specific, hence the reason for wanting a "static page". It will not disappear as you continue to write snippets of more information...

I think I fixed the first two problems, I didn't plan on people running higher than 1280x1024 and I didn't consider FireFox, but I'm still looking into the archive bars.

Thanks for your input, RobA. Love your plugins!
