Same <content:encoded issue>
Hello Garvin :-) In reference to this very same issue, is there a variable attributed to an entry that would correspond to a "description" of it, in other words maybe just the few first lines, or is there a way to create one? I'm having the same issue, the aggregator on the other end won't...

Well, that wasn't helping me so much because I needed to display the category description instead of the blog name, but I found what I was looking for in the index.php file, at the point where the values are assigned to the two fields. Here's what my index.php now looks like (lines 236 to 240): The ...

Hello again Garvin, Thanks for your suggestion, it does help and I now have the category name appear along with the blog name on the second line of the header, in category display. But I was hoping to be able to modify the code at its source rather than in the index.tpl file, so that I could - in &q...

The category descriptions don't appear anywhere
I was all happy at setup to be able to type in a nice description for each of my categories. But now after many months, I finally realized that those descriptions didn't appear anywhere in the blog (apart from the admin page of course). I looked around and found that I had replaced the main (first) ...

Hello Garvin, Thank you, once again, for your invaluable help . Yours was an impeccable answer to my question; I followed your instructions to create a dump with phpMyAdmin, I corrected the file and uploaded the result. Done! And yes, I realize that using font tags was a pretty dumb idea to begin wi...

Doing a blog-wide modification to fonts
Hello, I have been styling the font color of my entries via the WYSIWYG editor for over 120 entries now. But since nobody is ever happy without change, I decided to completely redesign my template and now with a light colored background, most of the entries' font color is too pale and barely readabl...

Hey Garvin, I really appreciate your time! I am using absolute paths because I know the answer to the meaning of life is 42 ;-) However, here's the url that works fine (notice the menu in the header, below the Portal title, it's positionned with absolute coordinates and independant from any HTML tag...

Nah, already checked that. I get warnings, but no errors. Besides, when the first page loads correctly, I get quite a few warnings about the menu script, proving that it's loading, but on the second page, no warnings at all, so for some reason I assume the script is simply not being run again... Don...

Well Garvin, Thanks to your suggestion, I've pretty much solved my issues. The template/index.tpl was indeed where I needed to work. I've added some of my HTML content there, and adapted the rest to fit inside the style.css of the template. A strange thing happens, though. My main upper menu is java...

Hi Garvin, And thanks for your prompt reply! I got a kick out of your message, one because I thought I had disabled the option to subssribe to RSS feeds (for simplicity, I need to turn it on again, and thanks for the compliment ;-) but you obviously know your way around the script. And two because y...

I could swear it was working before... ;-) Any way, I am using Serendipity 0.8 in an awkward non-embeded configuration, even though it resides inside my HTML web site, in a DIV. That's the only way I found back then to have everything work fine and retain Serendipity's own CSS without major PHP codi...

All right, no big deal any way. I can live without it, it'll just put a little more strain on my coffee-abused memory...
Thanks Garvin!

Where is my Emoticon Chooser?
Hi, I just installed the emoticonChooser plugin (via Spartacus and v.08-B1) but although the administration page Manage Plugins shows it installed, I don't actually see it in the New Entry page. What is it supposed to look like, is it a popup or does it add itself on or near the WYSIWYG editor? Any ...
