Migrating s9y installations.

Post by winkiller »

Neither bug report nor call for help.
Just wondered why the blog url is actually stored in the config table and not in serendipity_config_local.php.

When you are migrating an installation of s9y it's the only thing (after changing db credentials) that prevents the installation from instantly working 90% of the time. IMHO it would be much better suited inside the config file, maybe that's a possible change for a future version - so all the *really important* information is in one place

Hi!

You could also simply enable "autodetect HTTP-Host"? :-)

Unless it has a drawback, I think winkiller's idea is a good one.

Yeah, I know, Garvin.
It's just a general idea that I think it would be more logical to place it there - should you encounter any installation and not your own.

Was just an idea anyway, nothing gamebreaking :)
