What you are experiencing is called "Referrer Spam". You can't do anything but to * either patch s9y to filter certain referrers, * disable the "top referrer" plugin or to * only count referrers from a single host one per 30 minutes or so (configurable?) Of course the last versio...

You just seem to be using the "embed" option. Turn it off.

Long explanation: When "embed" mode is on, s9y will leave it to your layout.php to include headers and footers. So you have to take care of sending html headers/footers and the right META-style tags.

Your hoster forbids you to use certain file operation PHP functions. But without them, s9y won't work in certain parts. Tell your hoster to allow those functions, or else you won't get s9y up and running.

Open your index.php and add this after line #9 (in s9y v. 0.4, the line after $uri = $_SERVER[...]): $serendipity['GET']['category'] = 'yourcategory'; This will set a default category. If one selected a different category, the variable gets changed later in index.php Hope that does the trick, Garvin.
